Hellenistic and Neo-Platonic Philosophy

The Hellenistic period in ancient philosophy began in Athens after the death of Aristotle, flourishing in the third century B.C. The main schools of thought in this period were that of the followers of Epicurus, that of the Stoics and two versions of skepticism. Neo-Platonism, the last major school of Greek philosophy, developed in the third century A.D.
